SMC, Inc. began as a supplier of merchandise for the Entertainment Industry in February of 2000. As a Southern California based company, Orange County to be exact, we targeted the Music Industry and specialized in the design and production of band & artist merchandise. Having had the opportunity to tour with some of Orange County's and the World's most successful bands, SMC, Inc. owner Rob Castañeda was exposed to many different types of merchandise and promotional products being produced. That experience provided him first hand knowledge of who was buying the items and what they thought. We realized the market was tough and there were many other companies providing the same service. We also knew we had one very positive thing going for us, our passion for good design, excellent customer service, and most importantly, our attention to detail and superior quality.

Starting as a road merchandiser in the late 1990's and handling all aspects of road merchandise. He quickly grasped the importance of merchandise for the artist as well as the fan.
